This update addresses the inability
for in-vehicle recovery of a failed ECU flash. Our goal was to reduce
the opportunities for a failure to occur in addition to creating a
failsafe that allows for in-vehicle recovery if a fault occurs during
reflash.
v1.1 Features:
- More Robust Flash Routine - The data is
now handled differently so that a communication issue with the
ECU is less likely. Error checks are in the routine to ensure
accuracy.
- Faster Flash - By increasing the flash
speed by 500%, we reduced the timeframe that a failure can occur.
A full flash takes under 1 minute, vs. the previous 3-8 min, and
the ECU is vulnerable to an unrecoverable period for only .1 second.
- Built In Auto Recovery - If the reflash is interrupted, v1.1 is able to restart
the flash and complete the routine on the spot with no additional
support. You can now pull the USB cable, shut off the laptop,
or pull the car's battery, and the software will right itself
when you correct the condition.
v1.1 features are currently available for the 2004.5 - 2006 350z/G35
and 2005-2007 Titan. We are working to add support for 2003-2004
Z/G and 2004 Titan as soon as we can.
All users should update to v1.1 at this time, the software will
recognize which vehicle you have and run the appropriate routine.
Osiris v1.1 requires cable firmware version 140.
If you require a firmware update you will need to follow these
steps.
- Run the Update Installer
- Plug in your vehicle interface to the USB
port and run the Cable Manager Program (From the start menu
or Browse to the .exe)
- Click the "Update Firmware" button at the bottom.
Browse to C:\ProgramFiles\UpRev\Cable Manager
- Select file "UpRev Interface Firmware V140.Cipher"
- Dots will trace across the text window during the update. "Done!"
will appear when the update is completed. (If you receive errors
when loading the file, try unplugging and reconnecting the interface
cable.)
